According to the July 2008 FIFA/Coca Cola World Ranking list, Macedonia kept the same ranking from the last 3 months and stayed on the 56th position.

In the last month Macedonia didn’t play any match but won 4 points and with 548 points kept the 56th position in the world. From the 9th qulifaction group for the World Cup 2010, Netherlands have moved up on the 5th, Scotland are now 16th, while Norway dropped to the 31st. The only team placed lower than Macedonia from the World Cup Qualifiers opponents are Iceland who find themselves on the 98th position.

Spain, the new European champions, are now on the top of the FIFA ranking list, followed by Italy, Germany and Brazil.
