On Saturday, Skopje will host a friendly tournament for amateur teams whith two teams from Serbia, one from Bulgaria and domestic side Sloboden.
The visiting teams are actually clubs made up of foreigners who live and work in Belgrade and Sofia and who are mostly British, and in the United Kingdom they were players in clubs throughout the lower leagues. After arriving in Serbia and Bulgaria, because as foreigners they do not have the right to play in the lower leagues there, they decided to create their own clubs and a well organized informal league of 6 teams. There are also Serbian and Bulgarian players in their squads. They come to Skopje for a friendly tournament for socializing, fun and competition on the green field.
Participating teams are FC Yugo 55 from Belgrade, FC Pobednik from Belgrade, FC Sofia Rangers from the Bulgarian capital, as well as the host FK Sloboden from Skopje, who competes in the 4.MFL Kisela Voda.
The tournament kicks-off at 12:00 CET with the match Yugo 55 – Sofia Rangers, and will be played according to the Italian system – one match lasts 45 minutes, everyone plays against everyone in one day. The tournament will end with the ceremony of announcing the best at 17:00 CET. The whole event will be held at the Zhelezarnica stadium, home of second division side Skopje.
