Lithuania visits Philip II Arena in August

The National Arena Philip II of MacedonThe Football Federation of Macedonia (FFM) has scheduled a friendly against Lithuania on the 15th of August, in Skopje.

Besides the friendly against Portugal on the 26th of May which will be played in the city of Leiria, Macedonia arranged another friendly against Lithuania before the start of the 2014 World Cup qualifications.

Lithuania, ranked #91 in the latest FIFA rankings, will visit Skopje on 15 August and have the honor to be the first national team to play at the fully renovated National Arena Philip II of Macedon.

In addition to the friendlies against Portugal and Lithuania, Macedonia is searching for another opponent for a friendly to be played on the 30th of May.

FIFA recently announced that February and August friendlies will no longer be on the calendar, but that will start from 2015.

Macedonia opens the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualification tournament with two away matches against Croatia on 7 September and then faces Scotland four days later.
