Levski looking to offload Naumovski

Naumovski arriving on MondayKeeper Kristijan Naumovski has no future at Levski where he is no longer wanted by club management.

The 26-year-old Naumovski failed to impress at Levski after joining the Bulgarian outfit this past summer. He was initially the starting keeper to open the 2014-15 season, but he quickly lost his spot (first to Aleksandar Lyubenov and then to Plamen Iliev) after some shaky outings. Naumovski only featured in five games for Levski, three coming in league encounters and two in cup matches.

On Monday, Levski’s sporting director Georgi Ivanov summoned Naumovski and two other players, Plamen Krumov and Anton Ognyanov, to inform them that they have no future at the club. Naumovski does not want to mutually terminate his deal since he makes a good salary, so Levski will either have to find a taker in selling Kristijan or end up eating the money by releasing him.

Naumovski, capped 5 times by Macedonia, has now been mostly a backup in his last two stops abroad. Before Levski, he was usually the #2 keeper for Dinamo București in Romania.
