The Partizan manager announced yesterday that it would be a game time decision whether he will start Aleksandar Lazevski or Vladimir Volkov at left-back.  In the end, Lazevski was given the nod and he rewarded the manager with a good performance.  Aleksandar played all 90 minutes for Partizan and was part of a defense that kept a clean sheet.

Partizan scored both goals in the 2nd half to celebrate a 2:0 victory on the road over their heated in-city rivals Crvena Zvezda.  The home side had a great opportunity to take the lead in the 43rd minute but Crvena Zvezda player Evandro struck the post from a penalty kick.  The referee pointed to the spot for an apparent hand ball in the area by Partizan CB Nemanja Rnić.

With the win, Partizan extended their lead at the top of the table to seven points over second placed Crvena Zvezda.  Partizan has compiled 36 points after 13 rounds with twelve wins and one loss.
