Versatile defender Kire Ristevski is no longer with Slavia Sofia after he terminated his contract with the Bulgarian club.
The 1st half of the season ended this past weekend in Bulgaria. With that being said, teams have already begun to make changes to their rosters. One such transaction involved Kire Ristevski who mutually agreed to terminate his contract with Slavia Sofia.
We reached out to the player on Facebook and he confirmed the move. Ristevski told us, “Yes, I terminated my contract with Slavia. There are several options that I’m closely considering, and I will make a decision on my new team after the New Year.”
Ristevski, who can play at center-back and left-back, was a regular to start the 2014-15 season, but that changed once Ivan Kolev became the new manager following the club’s slow start. Ristevski then saw limited opportunities, so both sides agreed that parting ways was the best solution.
Kire has three caps for the senior national team of Macedonia, while also formerly being capped by the various youth national teams.
