Karpaty and Bogatinov avoid relegation

In the 30th and last round of the Ukrainian league season, Karpaty, the team of Martin Bogatinov, was able to avoid relegation.

Karpaty lost 0:2 away to Dnipro in the final round of the season but was still able to avoid relegation as the two clubs beneath Karpaty, Oleksandria and Obolon, also lost and were officially relegated to the Ukrainian second division.  Karpaty finished in 14th place out of 16 teams with 23 points.

As for today’s game, Bogatinov played from the start at keeper for Karpaty and conceded the two goals in the 68th and 86th minute.  Overall, Martin made 12 league appearances for Karpaty this season who went back and forth between Bogatinov and Andriy Tlumak at the goalkeeper position.
