Kanatlarovski reveal U21 summoned players

New U21 national team coach Dragi Kanatlarovski has his first squad list published after5 taking over the empty spot by now senior national team coach Blagoja Milevski.

Macedonia starts the qualifiers for the 2023 EURO with a match away to France on 2 September in Le Mans. Later on the 7th in Ohrid our youth national team welcomes Serbia. For that occasion Kanatlarovski summoned 25 players of which 2/3 are from the domestic league. Among the summoned players are two Australian born Macedonians, Matthew Bozhinovski who plays as central defender for the youth team of Melbourne Victory, and right winger Stefan Cholakovski who is already playing and scoring for Melbourne City in the A League.

However, problems occurred as the two international players came out COVID-19 positive at the tests done by their clubs so Kanatlarovski summoned additional two players, both from the domestic league. The positive players are into isolation and it is doubtful if they could join at least for the later match.

The tickets for the match in Ohrid against Serbia (kick-off at 16.00 CET) will be 150 denars and will soon be available for purchase online through MKTickets. Have in mind that according to the Ministry of health restrictions, only fans who have vaccine certificate for ta least one shot will be allowed at the stadium or a certificate for COVID-19 recovered at maximum 45 days after the recovery. These measures don’t affect the minors.

The national team will start gathering on 29th of this month.
