In the opening match of the 18th round, Vorskla lost 1:4 away to Metalurh Donetsk, with Adis Jahovikj providing the assist on the lone goal for the visitors.
Adis Jahovikj started as the lone striker for Vorskla in ther 4-2-3-1 formation and played the opening 45 minutes before he was substituted at the start of the 2nd half by Oleh Mishchenko. In the 17th minute, Vorskla took the 0:1 road lead with Jahovikj finding Artem Hromov who then fired a shot past the Metalurh Donetsk keeper. Adis had gathered the ball in the middle of the field, then made a couple of dribbles before sending a pass to Hromov to score the goal.

However, Metalurh Donetsk responded in a resounding fashion after the early deficit by scoring four unanswered goals, two in each half, to claim a 4:1 home victory. The three points moved Metalurh Donetsk to a tie with Vorskla on the standings. Both teams now have 26 points apiece.
The 18th round also marks the final round before the winter break gets underway in Ukraine. The 19th round won’t be played until late February of next year.
Since joining Vorskla from Swiss second division side Wil, Jahovikj has made a total of 10 appearances (8 in league play and 2 in domestic cup matches), scoring two goals (1 goal apiece in league play and the Ukrainian Cup).
