Adis Jahovic told the website of Krylia Sovetov that he is ready to return to game action this weekend.
Striker Adis Jahovic missed the opening 11 rounds of the season in Russia due to an injury. His knee ailment proved to be more serious than initially thought. Now, though, Jahovic feels ready to make his debut in the Russian top division.
In an interview on the website of Krylia Sovetov, Jahovic says that he hopes to play this Sunday versus Terek Grozny. Whether he does or not, however, will fall squarely on manager Franky Vercauteren. The coach will have final say on that decision.
Jahovic stated the following, “I started to train with the group two weeks ago. I’m now good to go, maybe not 100%, but about 70%. I’m still ready to give energy on the field and help the team.”
Adis continued, “Whether I play will be decided by Frank (manager). He has his own plans. I can only say that I am at his disposal, and he will decide about Sunday.”
Jahovic talks to a staff member from Krylia Sovetov:
Jahovic scored 12 goals in the second division last season, helping Krylia Sovetov win promotion along the way. We should know later on Saturday whether Jahovic will be included in the team’s squad for Sunday’s match.
