Goran Pandev will serve his full three-game suspension after his appeal was rejected by an Italian court.
On the 23rd of September last month, Goran Pandev picked up a direct red card in the match between Lazio and Genoa. He was penalized for throwing an elbow to the face of defender Mauricio. Several days later, the disciplinary committee of the Italian federation suspended Pandev three games.
Pandev appealed that ruling, hoping to get his ban reduced. On Friday, however, his final appeal was rejected by an Italian court. Goran had already served two games of his suspension, so he was aiming to get cleared to play this weekend, but that was not in the cards.
Goran faces Chievo this Sunday, so that will be the third and final game of Pandev’s suspension. He will be eligible to return on October 24 when Genoa meets Empoli on the road.
