Naumoski made some controversial comments earlier in the week but he did have a good game today to help Mattersburg draw against the defending Austrian champions.  Ilco scored one early and late goal to lead his team to a 3:3 draw against Sturm Graz as Naumoski served as the captain for Mattersburg.  However, the visiting club collapsed as they conceded two goals in the 90th minute to be forced to settle for a point.

In the 2nd minute, Ilco Naumoski opened the scoring from a rebound opportunity after the initial shot by his teammate Wilfried Domoraud was saved by the Sturm Graz keeper.  Naumoski’s first effort on the rebound was also saved but the next attempt beat the opposing keeper.  Sturm Graz did bounce back and scored three consecutive goals to take a 3:1 lead by the 80th minute.  Then, Sturm Graz collapsed as they conceded two goals in the 90th minute, including the goal by Naumoski in the fourth minute of stoppage time.  First, Patrick Bürger cut the lead to 2:3 in the 90th minute for Mattersburg before Naumoski scored his second goal of the game minutes later from close range after the Sturm Graz keeper could not catch the ball following a cross from the right.

Naumoski has been in a huge scoring slump.  As mentioned before, these were his first two goals of the season as he had not scored a league goal in over six months prior to today’s game.  His last league goal for Mattersburg came on 9 April 2011 in a 2:2 draw against SV Ried.
