Ilco Naumoski got the start for Mattersburg and played until the 77th minute in the home encounter against Ried.  Naumoski has been bothered by a flu but was able to suit up for Mattersburg in this game.  In the 37th minute, Naumoski made a pass to the charging Patrick Farkas who displayed good speed down the right flank before firing a shot past the Ried keeper for a 1:0 Mattersburg lead.  Ilco made the last pass to Farkas but since the goalscorer did some running before scoring the goal, Naumoski was not given the assist.

However, in the 46th minute, Mattersburg made it 2:0 and Naumoski was credited with the assist on that goal.  Ilco, being surrounded by four players near midfield, made a good pass over the top to Manuel Seidl who then scored with a nice chip over the Ried keeper.  Mattersburg would go on to record a convincing 4:1 victory over Ried, the second placed team on the table to begin the round, with Naumoski serving as the captain for the winning side.
