The 29-years-old Macedonian defender Igor Mitreski moves from FC Energie Cottbus on six months long loan period to Belgian side KFC Germinal Beerschot from Antwerpen.
After the suspension by his club, the regular member of the Macedonian national team, Igor Mitreski was forced to search for other club and he will spend at least six months in KFC Germinal Beerschot from Antwerpen, Belgium. He will be loaned until the end of the season and the Belgian club will have the option to buy the player from Energie Cottbus where he is contracted until 2010. Currently Mitreski is on training camp with Cottbus on Cyprus and on Monday morning will already move to Antwerpen and join Germinal Beerschot on trainings.
Igor Mitreski is born on 19/02/1979 in Struga. He started his career in his home town club Karaorman. After few seasons in the Macedonian championship in the clubs Napredok and Sileks, he was transfered in Spartak from Moscow where he spent 4 years. Before joining Energie Cottbus he spent one half season in the Ukrainian Metalurh Zaporizhya and Israeli club Beitár from Jerusalem. In his rich career he has 51 caps for the Macedonian national team and 16 played matches in the Champions League for Spartak Moskva.
