Agim Ibraimi, who played a key role in Macedonia’s 4:1 win over Montenegro, has been excused to leave the national team early.
Maribor, the club team of Agim Ibraimi, asked the Macedonian federation to excuse Ibraimi after yesterday’s friendly against Montenegro. FFM obliged and allowed Agim to leave the national team base this morning. Ibraimi will now head back to Slovenia to make himself available for the club.
Next weekend, Maribor has a big game against Olimpija, its biggest rival. Olimpija, in first place, currently leads Maribor by seven points on the table, so that will be an important match. Maribor can’t afford a loss to drop 10 points behind Olimpija.
Ibraimi is coming off a good performance for Macedonia yesterday. He played a part in two of the four goals. Since manager Igor Angelovski is well aware of Agim’s qualities, he decided to excuse Ibraimi without any problems.
