Apollon announced today that the club has mutually terminated the contract of striker Hristijan Kirovski.
Apollon released the following statement on its website, “The company Apollon football Ltd announces today that the contract has been mutually terminated with Hristijan Kirovski. We thank the player for his contribution and wish him every success in both his personal and professional life.”
Kirovski spent just one year with Apollon where he scored seven goals in 22 league appearances. However, new Apollon manager George Burley, formerly manager of the Scottish national team, did not view Kirovski as a fit in his system so it was decided by both sides to mutually terminate the contract.
Apollon will still have one Macedonian player next year as defender Bojan Markoski officially signed his contract yesterday to become the first signing of Burley.
