After the four game losing streak in league play, Rabotnicki’s management has decided to implement a new, much harsher policy in the club.
Goran Petreski remains the manager of Rabotnicki but players will have to work much harder in order to ensure receiving their salaries. 50% of the wages of each player and coach are frozen and will be distributed only if Rabotnicki manages to qualify for a European competition next summer. Every footballer and coach is fined 600 Euros (500 Euros for the Ohrid defeat at home and 100 Euros for the recent Bregalnica loss). Players will also have to pay for every careless yellow or red card that they receive for no reason. Furthermore, every player will be fined 50 Euros if they are late for training. A special medical staff will examine each player’s injuries and in the case that some player faked the injury, that player will be suspended.
Also, even the bonuses that were supposed to be distributed for the success in the Europa League will be handed out after the conclusion of the first half-season.
Reactions vary for these measurements taken by the management of the club. Some fans think they are too harsh and might have a negative impact, while others think they are absolutely necessary in order to establish order and accountability in the club. One way or another, each player that is not satisfied with the new policy is free to leave the club.
Rabotnicki’s next match is the city derby against Vardar on Saturday at 13:00 CET.
