Striker Goran Maznov finally returned to the Kerkyra squad and made an immediate contribution by scoring the game winning goal in today’s game.
Goran Maznov was left out of the Kerkyra squad for months but finally was named in the squad for today’s encounter against Levadiakos. Maznov began the game on the bench before coming on in the 83rd minute with the game tied at 2:2. On his first touch of the ball, Maznov scored the game winner one minute later to hand Kerkyra the 3:2 victory. Maznov also received a yellow card in the 88th minute.
Despite the win, Kerkyra currently occupies a place in the relegation zone. The club is 14th out of 16 teams and the last three teams get relegated. However, the difference in points between Kerkyra and the next four teams on the table is only four points so the club can move up the rankings with good play over the remaining seven league games before the end of the league season in Greece.
