Gligor Gligorov signed with Tampines

Macedonian wingback Gligor Gligorov has landed with a team after he recently inked a contract with Tampines Rovers from Singapore.

The 24-year-old Gligor Gligorov, who was a free agent, will continue his career in Singapore with the league champions Tampines Rovers.  Gligorov has been without a team for months but he recently came to an agreement with Tampines.  Earlier in his career, while Gligorov was playing for Kratovo based club Sileks, he was considered a promising prospect but his career stalled after several unsuccessful trials at foreign clubs.  Gligor was on trial with both Bulgarian club Levski and Polish club Ruch Chorzów but neither club offered him a contract.  Gligorov then trained with Czech top division side Baník Ostrava and signed a contract with them but he only ended up making two late substitute appearances in league play before he was let go earlier in the summer.

Gligorov has now landed with Tampines and will hope to regain his old form after not playing for several months.  Gligor formerly played for the youth national teams of Macedonia and has also made one appearance for the senior national team during a friendly against Iran in 2009.  Gligorov usually played the wingback position on the right during his time with Sileks.
