Mario Gjurovski scored the game winning goal today, directly from a free kick, to bring Muangthong United another three points.
Muangthong United was playing Pattaya United away and celebrated a minimal 1:0 victory thanks to Macedonian national team player Mario Gjurovski. In the 36th minute, Gjurovski scored the lone goal of the match directly from a free kick, bringing the lead to the visitors. His team held on to the slim lead and took home the valuable three points.
Gjurovski received a red card in the previous game in the 90th minute and was facing a one match suspension, but he appealed the ruling and the Thai football association reverted the decision which allowed Mario to play in today’s game.
In the current 2012 season of the Thai Premier League, Muangthong United tops the table with 28 points, six more than second placed BEC Tero Sasana and seven more than Buriram United, although Buriram does have three games in hand.
