National team manager Boshko Gjurovski stated that he was pleased with what he saw of several players during today’s test involving only players from the domestic league.
This idea of playing a game featuring only players from the Macedonian domestic league was brought to our attention during our interview with the late Petar Miloshevski earlier in the year. He wanted such a game to allow manager Boshko Gjurovski to test the abilities of the domestic league players. Gjurovski, when hired, mentioned that he wanted to include more players from the domestic league on Macedonia’s national team.
So, today at the pitch in front of the FFM headquarters in Skopje, two teams led by Pelister manager Dragan Bocheski and Renova manager Kjatip Osmani faced off under the watchful eye of Boshko Gjurovski. Bocheski was in charge of the red jersey team, while Osmani coached the white jersey team.
The white team of Osmani won the game 3:2 with Rabotnichki youngster Kire Markoski scoring the game winner in the 82nd minute. The other two goalscorers for the white team were Daniel Avramovski and Goran Siljanovski, while Muzafer Ejupi and Tauljant Sulejmanov netted the two goals for the red team.
Lineup of white team: Jovanovski; Brdarovski, Musliu, Zajkov, Cuculi, Velkovski, Useini, Skenderi, Mitrov, Avramovski, Ilijoski.

All 34 players called up got a chance to play and showcase their abilities to the manager Boshko Gjurovski. After the game, Gjurovski said the following to FFM’s official website, “I’m pleased with what some of the selected players showcased in this match. There is a good chance that some of the players in this game will find themselves on the roster for the May training camp in Austria. The young players showed great desire in wanting to join the national team, and in this moment that is the most important thing. These kinds of matches are very useful for us to see the quality of the players from the domestic championship, and I will insist these types of games to become part of the programs for the clubs as well. That is beneficial for them as well as the national team.”
