Gjoko Hadjievski, the former Vardar and Macedonia NT manager, has been appointed Vardar’s director of football.
After Sergei Samsonenko took charge of Vardar, many Vardar fans hoped that Hadjievski would be named the club’s manager if Blagoja Milevski was relieved of his duties. However, despite the fact that Milevski was indeed removed, Russian coach Sergey Andreyev was presented as the manager.
Regardless, Vardar announced today that Gjoko Hadjievski will have a role within the club. He was named the director of football and he will bring vast experience to the club. His aim will be to reform Vardar, identify new player acquisitions and help the new manager Andreyev adapt in his new role.
Hadjievski has managed numerous clubs throughout his career, and also led the Macedonian national team on one occasion. Furthermore, Hadjievski had a good run in Azerbaijan during his time with Bakı as he won the Azerbaijani Premier League and later he briefly served as the caretaker manager of Azerbaijan’s national team.
