Vardar was heavily defeated in today’s friendly against Serbian club OFK Beograd.
Vardar and Serbian side OFK Beograd played a friendly match today in Skopje, on National Arena Philip II of Macedon. Vardar suffered a heavy defeat, conceding 5 goals, scoring only 2.
OFK Beograd took the lead first through Augusto Batioja in 13th minute. Igor Ivanović doubled the lead 10 minutes later and Vardar was down 0:2 in the first half. In the second half, the Macedonian champions managed to pull themselves up and equalized the score through Milan Ilievski’s and Jovan Kostovski’s goals. However, visitors OFK Beograd, who are currently occupying 9th position in Serbian Super League added 3 more goals in the last 15 minutes for a convincing win and yet another match for Nikola Ilievski without a win as he took over Vardar’s bench. Ivica Jovanović scored two goals for OFK Beograd, while Veseljko Trivunović added one more.
