Macedonian teams are in the middle of playing friendlies and here’s a recap of their results.

Vardar, Shkendija and Horizotn Turnovo are already in Antalya for their winter training camps in the famous Turkish resort. Pelister and Rabotnichki will join them there next week, while the other teams are currently in Macedonia, mostly based in Dojran, Ohrid, and Negorski Banji.

We have made a short recap of the friendlies that have been played so far. Vardar have a good record in Turkey so far, winning both of their games. They first celebrated a 2:0 win against Polish side Widzew Łódź.

Afterwards, Vardar defeated Russian Premier League team Amkar 3:0. Amkar apparently fielded an experimental line-up, but Vardar will take it as they look to finish strong this season.

Meanwhile, Shkendija opened their schedule in Turkey with a 3:0 win over Altyn Asyr from Turkmenistan.

Back in Macedonia, Rabotnichki has yet to play a friendly, while Sileks started the earliest among the clubs. They played their first match on the 19th of January against Mladost Lučani from Serbia and lost 1:4. A week later they lost 0:2 to Metalurg.

Metalurg, besides the win against Sileks, played a game versus Mladost Lučani which was interrupted in the 60th minute while they led 1:0. The away team decided to leave the pitch after one hard tackle and a bit of impatience between the players from both clubs. Metalurg has also won against Horizont Turnovo 3:2.

Horizont Turnovo besides the loss to Metalurg, won 2:1 against Gostivar and then moved to Turkey where they already played their first match. Turnovo lost 2:1 to Atyrau from Kazakhstan.

Bregalnica is not as active as the other clubs, while Renova played two matches so far with a 50-50 effect. They lost to Euromilk Gorno Lisiche 0:1, but won against Drita 3:0.

Teteks has played two matches against the same opponent – Serbian team Mladost Lučani. Both matches were played in one day and twice the Serbians won 3:1.

Lastly, Pelister played in two friendlies thus far and lost them both. First, Mladost Lučani beat them 1:2 and then Spartak Subotica celebrated a 0:2 win. Pelister will now move to Antalya this upcoming Monday where they will play additional friendlies against the likes of Shakhtar Karagandy, Debrecen and Wisła Płock.
