Macedonia will use the idle round in the World Cup qualifiers for a friendly match against Saudi Arabia.

The Saudi Arabia national team missed to qualify for the 2026 World Cup and will continue the race in the additional fourth round of the Asian qualifiers in October. To prepare for their final chance the The Green Falcons will be on preparations in Czechia in September where will play few friendly matches.

Macedonia has an invitation to face Saudi Arabia on 4th September on neutral ground in Czechia. FFM has yet to confirm the friendly, but since the Lynx are idle in the qualifiers with their next match being Liechtenstein at home on the 7th, it is most likely that this friendly will take place. Macedonia will again be idle on 15th November.

This will be the third match between the two teams with the last being in 2022 in Saudi Arabia, but as a FIFA non official match.
