On the newest FIFA World Rankings for the month of May, Macedonia remained in the 98th position with its 342 points, same as the previous month.
Not many changes were made in the FIFA rankings list for the month of May with no matches played during the period from the previous released rankings last month. Most of the national teams kept their points with only few countries moving up or down on the list. Macedonia stayed in the 98th position and remained the lowest ranked national team from the Balkans, just two spots below Bulgaria. Meanwhile, for Group A of the upcoming 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifications, Macedonia is well below the other national teams with the closest side being Scotland at #48, or 50 spots ahead of Macedonia on the rankings.
