The inactive period brought Macedonia to the 104th position, dropping three spots from last month.
Earlier today, FIFA updated their World Rankings list. Macedonia keeps sinking as the Lynx are now placed in 104th place, below the likes of Antigua and Barbuda, Oman, Malawi, Sierra Leone etc.
Not many changes occurred as most of the national teams were not in action, besides of course those that participated at the Africa’s Cup of Nations and the Asian Cup. Libya had the biggest fall as they went down 37 places and are now behind Macedonia, while the best mover was Equatorial Guinea, the hosts of the African Cup of Nationals that finished 4th in that tournament. They climbed 69 places to now be ranked 49th. Australia, the winner of the the Asian Cup (also hosting it) moved up 37 places to the 63rd position. Before, Australia was close to Macedonia in the rankings. The winners of the African Cup of Nations, the Ivory Coast, moved up 8 places to #20.
