FFM deducts Ljuboten 9 points, not a word for the disgraceful refereeing

At Tuesday’s session of the Disciplinary Committee of the FFM, a decision was made to deduct 9 points from the current champion in the women’s top flight as punishment for leaving a match in protest due to poor refereeing.

“WFC Ljuboten is punished with a deduction of 9 (nine) points and a fine of 750 euros for abandoning the match within the Round 17 between the teams of As United and Ljuboten,” the FFM statement said.

They also add that “The FFM Disciplinary Committee is initiating proceedings against the president of WFC Ljuboten, Dragoljub Jovanovski, for calling on the players of Ljuboten to leave the Round 17 match .”

Ljuboten demonstratively left the field in Struga in the 75th minute with the score 0:0 after the referees led by Vjolca Izeiri (with assistants Martin Petkovski and Filip Ickovski) for the second time disallowed a regular goal. There was no offside for that second goal, nor a foul because the home goalkeeper let the ball out of her hands.

The FFM has not yet issued a comment on the shameful refereeing of this match, which cast a black stain on the women’s league this season.

The incident:

Also, FFM registered the match with a green table 3:0 win for As United, which is the ruight thing since Ljuboten left the pitch, no mather the reason.

With this rigorous penalty, Ljuboten fell from second to fourth place in the table with 34 points, now 15 behind the leader Skopje 2014, which practically decided the battle for the title on the green table.

As a reminder, this summer Ljuboten made a histotry of the Macedonian women’s football in Europe as for the first time a Macedonian team achieved not one but two victories and advanced one round in the Women’s Champions League qualifiers.

Another official result in the women’s league occured after FFM awarded a green-table victory to the team of Kochani against Top Gol.

At halftime of the match played in Bitola on March 15, the Kochani team suspected that the home team’s goalkeeper was not the same one who had been registered to play. Officials conducted an identification during the break, during which they found that the photo on the footballer’s ID card did not match.

“After the identification was completed, she knew the details of her first name, last name, father’s name and date of birth, but the photo on the football ID card does not match, and I am attaching a picture of it. The guests are announcing a complaint,” the delegate stated.

After the first half passed without goals, Top Gol won the second half with 2:1, but now the three points go to the account of the team from Kochani with an official result of 3:0. Thus, now there is a reshuffle at the bottom of the table because Kochani with the awarded points from the last jumped to the penultimate place with 7 points, and Top Gol with 4 points fell to the bottom. This is also important because of the schedule for the third (last) round where the penultimate is the host of the last-placed team, which means that Kochani will play the relegation decisive match against the team from Bitola in front of its own fans.
