Rabotnicki won again, while Renova was defeated with 2:1 and was eliminated on penalties.
Macedonia lost one club in the Europa League. Renova got stucked in Northern Ireland as the home side Glentoran won with 2:1 and than on penalties. Richard Clarke opened the score in the 31st minute and brought the lead to the Glens. Renova tied with Ismail Ismaili’s goal in the 59th minute and the guests had a result good enough for advancing in the second round. But just 3 minutes after coming on from the bench, Martin Murray scored for a 2:1 lead for Glentoran. Because the game ended with that score and since the result was the same from the first leg, extra time had to be played. There was no change in the result, only Renova was left with 10 man after Boban Jancevski was expelled after being shown a second yellow. The penalties decided the winner as Glentoran won with 3:2 with Argjent Gafuri missing the decisive penalty. Glentoran will face Ukrainian side Vorskla in the second round.
Unlike Renova, Rabotnicki once again beat Trans and advanced into the second round. This time the result was 3:0. The first half was even and Trans’ players were unlucky as they hit the post twice, but it was Rabotnicki who scored. In the dying moments of the first half, Milovan Petrovik opened the score. In the second half the home team was better and scored two more goals. First in the 81st minute captain Borce Manevski scored for 2:0, while the final 3:0 were put by the joker Filip Petkovski in the last minute. Rabotnicki will play against Sanmarinese side Juvenes/Dogana in the second round with first leg being played on road.
