Attacker Dushan Savikj signed a 1 year deal to continue his career in Kazakhstan with Kaisar.
The 28-year-old Dushan Savikj was a free agent this winter after his contract with Hoverla expired at the conclusion of the 1st half of the season in Ukraine. Hoverla stated in newspapers that they wanted to bring back Savikj, but one of their vice-presidents blasted Dushan’s agent for being unreasonable with his contract demands.
After the two sides could not reach common ground, Savikj went on trial with Luch-Energiya (Russia) and Kairat (Kazakhstan). However, again those two teams could not reach contract terms with Savikj. Finally, Dushan and his agent managed to agree with another club from Kazakhstan in Kaisar.
Kaisar finished in 1st place of the Kazakh second division during the 2013 season, so they won promotion to the top league for the 2014 campaign. Kaisar will begin the 2014 season next weekend when they host Ordabasy.
Savikj has won 9 caps for the Macedonian national team. Kazakhstan will be the sixth country in which he has played his club football, joining Macedonia, Romania, South Korea, Uzbekistan and Ukraine.
