Metalurg is taking on Renova today and we used this opportunity to ask few question to Hristijan Dimoski of Metalurg and Muharem Bajrami of Renova, both midfielders.
Your team is currently 4 points behind table leaders Vardar. We know that you strive for the title, no in reality, do you think that you can match the holders when you know that after 8 rounds played you have 3 defeats?
Hristijan: Yes, we are 4 points behind, but there’s plenty to play untill the end of the championship and ofcaurse we will not surrender. On Sunday Vardar plays against Shkendija and the next round against us, so it can easily happen us to be before them on the table.
Renova’s form has been unpredictible this season, but it’s still one of the teams with title aspirations. Do you think that your club can leave the bad results behind and to start getting back on the top positions?
Muharem: It is true that we have had both good and bad results in the begining of the season but we also should have gotten more points. I think in the following games we can show our true play because we have huge quality.
Like in every match, your team will strive for victory on Sunday. Why do you think that you can defeat your opponents? What are your advantages and what are the weak points of your opponents?
Hristijan: We go for a win on every game, so this one won’t be any different. I think we will be successful because at this moment we are in better form, we have three games in a row without defeat and that will be a motive plus for us although it’s not decisive for a win.
Muharem: The truth is that we will be satisfied even with a point from this game because Metalurg is a good team that is fighting for the table top. Their weakest point is their defense and we must use this disadvantage, while our advantage I think are the fast players like Siljanoski and Skenderi in the attack.
Metalurg and Renova always have had tough games. What is more important in matches like this one, current form or motivation?
Hristijan: As I said before, we are in better form but that can mean nothing. Whoever has the bigger hunger for a win and bigger motivation, will get the points.
Muharem: I think the motivation is the most important.
What do you think about Muharem Bajrami who will face you in this game?
Hristijan: He holds the key in Renova’s play, he is currently in great form and I hope we won’t let him play well against us.
What do you think about Hristijan Dimoski who will face you in this game?
Muharem: Ofcaurse I know him ever since he was playing for Ohrid. He’s a great player with good sense in the midfield.
We wish them a good game on Sunday and may the better team wins!
