Veteran Pelister striker Dragan Dimitrovski has put an end to his rich career.
Pelister’s legendary striker Dragan Dimitrovski has decided to retire from professional football, club press officer reported. Dimitrovski, who will turn 36 in July, was one of the most important players for Pelister this season, although he was not a starter. He scored several important goals this season, including the decisive goal against Skopje in the promotion/relegation play-off.
Dimitrovski has spent his career in Macedonia, and had several appearances for the national team as well. He was part of Pobeda during the Prilep’s club best years and he was a top scorer and player of the year in 2003. He has scored a total of more then 100 goals for Pelister and more then 200 goals combined for all the clubs he has played in Macedonia.
Dimitrovski will most probably remain in Pelister and will take part in the new staff that is currently being created. There should also be a friendly match in September in honor of the striker.
