Goalkeeper Stole Dimitrievski, for the first time, has been included in the matchday squad for the first team of Spanish top division side Granada.
The 20-year-old Stole Dimitrievski was among the 18 players called up by Granada manager Lucas Alcaraz for Saturday’s league game against Almeria. The reason for Dimitrievski’s inclusion is that the regular starting keeper, Roberto, is out with an illness. Thus, Dimitrievski, who serves as the third keeper, moves up to become the #2 keeper for tomorrow’s game.
The other goalkeeper called up by Granada for tomorrow’s clash against Almeria is Greek international Orestis Karnezis. Karnezis is expected to start in goal for Granada, while Dimitrievski will be on the bench as the #2 keeper. It will be the first time that Dimitrievski has ever made the bench in a match from Spain’s top flight.
Stole, who is on loan at Granada from Serie A side Udinese, has mostly played for the Granada B team this season, before his appointment today to the matchday squad of the first team.
Here are the 18 players called up by Granada for tomorrow’s league game against Almeria:
Goalkeepers: Dimitrievski, Karnezis.
Defenders: Nyom, Foulquier, Mainz, Diakhaté, Brayan Angulo.
Midfielders: Fran Rico, Coeff, Recio, Iturra, Brahimi, Buonanotte, Yebda, Pereira.
Attackers: Piti, El Arabi, Riki.
