Makedonski Sport reports that Darko Tasevski was furious at being left out of the Russia game and will no longer play for Macedonia.

During an interview with Makedonski Sport, Darko Tasevski said the following, “I couldn’t believe it when I was told to remain in Skopje and wait for the national team to return from Russia.  How does this look?  Toshack talks but Babunski translates.  Is it possible from two trainings for Toshack to see that I have no quality or did someone else make the list for Toshack?  I still can’t believe it.  To wait for them in Skopje when they return from Russia?  I am furious and today I am going back to Sofia and I will never return again for the national team.  I thought that things would change with a new coach and new hopes but things remained miserable.”

It is understandable why Tasevski is angry because he was called up with the intent to play and he probably feels his time is being wasted by being told to remain in Skopje while the national team is in Russia.  However, to be fair, Darko has over 30 caps for Macedonia but he has failed to impress on numerous occasions.  He has never been able to match his form with club team Levski with the national team.  Tasevski has been given chance after chance but how long can that continue, especially if the player is not producing?  Saying that, many Macedonian fans were surprised that Muarem Muarem was chosen ahead of Tasevski whose comments today might mean the end for him with the Macedonian national team.
