The 29-year-old Tasevski was on a flight to Thailand on Monday where he is expected to take medical tests with Bangkok Glass.  If he passes his medical, which is set for 17 December, then Tasevski will sign his contract and continue his career in Thailand.  The agreement between Tasevski and Bangkok Glass is expected to be for 3 and a half years.

With Darko on his way to Thailand, he will obviously miss Tuesday’s game between Ironi Kiryat Shmona and Bnei Yehuda in Israeli league play.  Ironi Kiryat Shmona will pocket nearly 250,000 U.S. dollars for the transfer of Tasevski to Thailand.  Darko had a contract until the summer of 2014, so the winter transfer window was the last opportunity for Shmona to cash in on Tasevski.

Update: Here is a brief video of Tasevski arriving in Thailand:

Tasevski originally joined Ironi Kiryat Shmona before the start of the 2012-13 season.  In total, during his year and a half stay with Shmona, Darko compiled 44 league appearances in which he scored 2 goals.

In Thailand, another Macedonian player in Mario Gjurovski has made a name for himself with his performances and crazy goal celebrations for Muangthong United.  However, there is a chance that Gjurovski may head back to Europe during the winter transfer window.  Since Mario has nothing left to prove in Thailand and now that his uncle, Boshko Gjurovski, is the manager of the Macedonian national team, he may opt to challenge himself in a more competitive league in Europe as opposed to remaining in Thailand.

On 11 December 2013, which was the date of Mario’s 28’s birthday, Mario responded on twitter to a fan who asked him whether there was any truth to reports that he was thinking of going back to a European club by simply saying “maybe.”
