One day after Brann was relegated to the Norwegian second division, the club announced on its website that they have terminated the contract of Daniel Mojsov.
Defender Daniel Mojsov becomes a free agent following his contract termination with Brann. On Wednesday, Mjøndalen beat Brann in the relegation play-off, sending Mojsov’s now former club to the second division. Daniel missed that game with a sprained ankle that he suffered this past weekend.
The decision to terminate Mojsov’s contract was mutual since Brann has to cut payroll following their relegation, while Daniel showed no interest in playing in the second division. One of the quotes that he gave on the website is that he wants to keep his national team status, so he will be looking to sign with a top division club from another country.
Various newspapers in Poland reported on Thursday that Lech Poznań may have an interest in Mojsov. Apparently, an assistant coach on that team had visited Norway last week to scout players, and the newspapers reported that Mojsov may have been one of the targets. We shall see if this rumor turns out to be legit.
The expectation is that Mojsov, 26, will seek to continue his career abroad, but Vardar remains a distant possibility if he is unable to find a foreign club.
