Defender Aleksandar Damchevski will miss the rest of the season after choosing to undergo surgery on his bothersome knee.

Last month, Aleksandar Damchevski traveled to his hometown of Strasbourg, France to get a second opinion on his knee. The doctors made a small incision on his knee, then placed a camera, called an arthroscope, inside the cut to inspect his knee. After that procedure, the doctors came back with the opinion that Damchevski will require surgery.

It’s not a major knee operation (like a torn ACL for instance), but it will keep him on the sidelines for about two months. Thus, he will miss the rest of the season for NAC Breda. The timing is not the best since he faces an uncertain future. NAC Breda has already given up on him as the fans were very critical of his performances in the early parts of the season.

Therefore, once he recovers, the 22-year-old Damchevski will likely be transfer listed by NAC Breda. We shall see how much interest there will be in his services this summer.
