The draw for the eight-finals of the Macedonian Cup took place today and resulted in some interesting matchups.
Since the postponed games of the first round were played in the last two days, the draw could finaly take place. Yesterday Vardar easily eliminated Lokomotiva with 4:1, even without the 8 players summoned in their natonal teams. A day before that Shkendija eliminated Gostivar with 2:0.
Holders Pelister will match ambitious newly promoted second league side Borec. Shkendija were drawn to face three times champions Rabotnichki in what should be the most interesting clash of this round. Vardar will play against local rivals Shkupi, while another capital city encounter will see Skopje against Gorno Lisiche.
The only duel between teams from the second league will be Kozhuf of the East against Teteks of the West. That means that at least one second league team will participate in the quarter-finals.
