Four foreign players that play in the 1.MFL have been summoned in their national teams for the upcoming WC qualifiers.
All four are players of Vardar. Right back Hovhannes Hambardzumyan (15 app, 1 goal) and attacker Tigran Barseghyan (6 app, 1 goal) got a call from the Armenian national team for the games against Romania away and Denmark at home. Their Armenia is in the Group E, has 2 wins and 4 defeats and with 6 points still has chances for the second position, but will have to pull of a miracle and win both games in order to stay in race.
The same group features attacker Damir Kojašević (6 app, 1 goal) who will be part of the Montenegro
squad for the games against Kazakhstan away and Poland at home. With 10
points so far Montenegro has solid chances to finish at the top places. Montenegro and armenia already played against each other with both winning the home games.
Winger Jambul Jighauri (6 app, no goal) was summoned by Georgia for the Group D matches against Ireland at home and Austria on the road. With only 3 points (no win, all ties), Georgia is pretty much eliminated.
With 4 foreign players getting a call plus 4 players being summoned in the Macedonian national team (Darko Velkovski, Visar Musliu, Stefan Spirovski and Boban Nikolov), Vardar has the most national team players at the moment (eight).
One this list we can also add Momčilo Rašo, the defender of Rabotnichki who was summoned in the U21 national team of Montenegro for the EURO qualifying game against Kazakhstan away.
