This Day In History

1934 Former goalkeeper Blagoja Vidinić was born in Skopje. He played for Yugoslavia in the 1960 EURO final loss by USSR (photo: Vidinić on the right) and later won the 1960 Olympics.
2003 Macedonia was twice taking the lead, but at the end lost 3:2 by Türkiye in a 2004 EURO qualifier in Istanbul.
2004 Macedonia celebrated a 4:2 friendly win in Tallinn against Estonia.
2013 Macedonia lost 2:0 away to Norway in a friendly match in Oslo.
2017 Macedonia got defeated 2:1 by Spain in Skopje in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers as Elif Elmas made his debut appearance.
