After the poor start to the season and today’s tough loss in the domestic cup, Bregalnica has parted ways with their Bulgarian manager Nikola Spasov.
Bregalnica Stip has been one of the biggest disappointments this season as they are second from bottom on the table with only 6 points after 10 rounds in the Macedonian top division. The management of the club has been very patient with the manager but after today’s tough loss in the Macedonian Cup against Horizont Turnovo, Spasov was sacked and he is no longer the manager of the club. The news was first reported by Sport Efe. Keep in mind that Bregalnica had a 1:0 lead over Turnovo today but conceded three goals after the 86th minute to suffer a demoralizing loss.
For the next game on Saturday, assistant coaches Vlatko Davitkov and Gjorgi Stojkov will lead the team in the home game against 11 Oktomvri. In the meantime, Bregalnica will begin the search for a permanent solution in order to find the right manager to succeed Nikola Spasov.
