After he was not offered a contract by Neftçi during his trial period, Martin Bogatinov has agreed to join Ethnikos Achnas.
Ethnikos Achnas is a middle-of-the-pack club in the Cyprus top flight. It is also the former team of players like Vanche Shikov and Edin Nuredinoski. Furthermore, the current manager is Macedonian coach Borche Gjurev.
Since Ethnikos Achnas does not have a functioning website, they released this statement on their Facebook page today:
“Ethnikos Achnas and sponsors of the club, Cyta and Cambridge Weight Plan Cyprusl, announce that Macedonian goalkeeper Martin Bogatinov has joined the team for the upcoming new season. We would like to wish the 29-year-old every success with the jersey of our team, and to assure him that we all believe in his qualities.”
Bogatinov spent last season with Ermis in the Cypriot League. His contract was terminated several weeks before the conclusion of the 2014-15 season due to issues between the club and agent. Ermis felt the agent was talking to other teams behind their back, so they decided to end the cooperation.
As previously mentioned, Martin was on trial with Neftçi earlier in the summer, but he was not offered a contract. Now, he has found his new team in Ethnikos Achnas.
