After numerous games of not even being included on the squad, goalkeeper Martin Bogatinov was on the bench for today’s game but he was an unused substitute.
Karpaty suffered a heavy 5:0 home defeat against the defending Ukrainian champions in Shakhtar Donetsk. Macedonian international Martin Bogatinov returned to the squad for Karpaty but he was an unused substitute behind the starting keeper Andriy Tlumak. Bogatinov has not been in the squad for over two months but there has been no reason given by Karpaty for his exclusion. He was not hurt as during that time when he was not being called up by Karpaty, Bogatinov made several appearances for the Macedonian national team.
Bogatinov is expected to be looking for a new club during the 2012 January transfer window. After 18 completed rounds in the Ukrainian top division, Bogatinov made seven starts for Karpaty but his last appearance for the club came in the middle of September.
