Tavria announced on their official website that attacker Besart Ibraimi has left the club to return to fellow Ukrainian club Sevastopol.
Besart Ibraimi was at Tavria on a 6 month loan from Sevastopol that was set to expire on 1 January 2012. However, Besart was not receiving much playing time for Tavria so the two sides agreed that it was best for Ibraimi to return to Sevastopol since Ibraimi was not in the plans of the Tavria manager. Besart only made two appearances for Tavria for a total of 62 minutes after the first 8 rounds in the Ukrainian top division. He was mostly an unused substitute in the other games but did not even make the bench in the last game.
Ibraimi was in good form for Sevastopol last season by scoring three goals in 11 appearances but his team was relegated so he asked for a loan in order to continue playing in the top division. So, this past summer, Tavria and Sevastopol reached a 6 month loan agreement but Besart could not convince the Tavria manager of his qualities so he did not receive much playing time. Ibraimi will now return to Sevastopol who are currently tied for 5th place in the Ukrainian second division with 14 points after eight rounds. He will be hoping to regain his form and start playing regularly after the unsuccessful short stint with Tavria.
Besart made headlines in the 2010 January transfer window when he made a sensational transfer from Renova to German Bundesliga club Schalke 04. However, during his one year stay in Germany, Ibraimi only made two league appearances for Schalke 04 before he was sold to Sevastopol in January of 2011. Besart has also made seven appearances for the Macedonian national team but last played during a friendly against Malta on 11 August 2010.
