After a successful stint with Sevastopol, Besart Ibraimi is drawing interest from fellow Ukrainian club Tavria.
Russian newspaper chempionat.ru is reporting that the new manager of Tavria, Semen Altman, is interested in bringing Besart Ibraimi to Tavria. Ibraimi made huge headlines in January of 2010 when he transferred from Renova to German club Schalke 04 but the signing did not work out. Ibraimi only made two appearances for Schalke as he spent most of his time training with the reserves team. He could only play in friendly games for the reserves team because non EU players are not allowed to play in league games.
However, during the winter transfer window earlier this year, Sevastopol gave Ibraimi another chance and brought him to their team. Ibraimi showed glimpses of his talent and ended up making 11 appearances with three goals. His club was near the bottom of the table when he joined the club and although they started playing much better in the second half of the season, Sevastopol was unable to avoid relegation in Ukraine. The potential next team of Ibraimi, Tavria, finished 7th this past season but decided to hire a new manager. Ibraimi was voted as the best player in the Macedonia league in 2009 and has made seven appearances for the Macedonian national team.
