Aleksandar Todorovski conducted an interview on Polonia Warszawa’s official website today and it was confirmed that Todorovski will join the Polish club and his first training will be on 21 June 2011.  Recently, media in Serbia have been reporting that Todorovski was an option for Crvena Zvezda to be the replacement for departing RB Pavle Ninkov but those rumors can be put to rest since Todorovski will continue his career in Poland with Polonia Warszawa.  Former Macedonian players that have played for Polonia include Filip Ivanovski and Vlade Lazarevski.  Todorovski should have a familiar face in Polonia Warszawa as his former Rad teammate Đorđe Čotra also plays for the Polish club.  He said he has talked to several players that have played in Poland and they have told Todorovski nothing but good things about Poland and Polish football.

Todorovski is 27 years old and announced this past January that he reached a pre-agreement with Polonia Warszawa.  This angered his Serbian club FK Rad and especially the President of the club who ordered for Todorovski to be removed from the first team.  Since that time, Todorovski was not called up once and was forced to train with the reserves team.  He also lost his place on the Macedonian national team as manager Mirsad Jonuz decided not to call up Todorovski with him not getting regular playing time.  Todorovski was actually born in Serbia to a Macedonian father and Croatian mother but the national team was having problems at RB so he was offered an opportunity to join the national team and he accepted the invitation.  He has made six appearances up to this point.
