“The Football Federation of Macedonia informs the public that FK Besa 1976 AD Dobri Dol has officially sent a notification to the FFM that it will not play in the second Macedonian football league in the 2025/2026 season,” the FFM announced.

The club informed them that during today’s session they will submit the formal decision from the Board of Directors with an explanation of the decision to the FFM.

Given that On Wednesday is the draw to determine the schedule for the new season, FFM is in a position to decide what to do. According to the rules, namely Article 54 of the “Propositions – 2.MFL 2025/2026”, the place should be offered to FK Prespa from Resen, as the only third-league winner who was left without a place in the second league.

“Regarding further steps, FFM will make a decision on whether and how the vacant spot in the league will be dealt with. FFM will make the final decision by tomorrow’s draw of the schedule for the new competition season,” FFM informed.

According to the rules, if Prespa rejects the offer, the spot should be offered to the second-placed teams from the five third-league groups. If there are no interested teams, or no one meets the requirements, the season can continue with 15 instead of 16 participants.

The new season in the second league starts on August 23rd.
