David Babunski came off the bench to score a late game winner for Barcelona B in their 4:3 win over Alcorcón.
David Babunski, who also played in yesterday’s friendly between Macedonia and Qatar, quickly boarded a flight to Spain after the match to make himself available for Barcelona B who had a game against Alcorcón today. Babunski opened on the bench before he was introduced in the 27th minute to take the place of the injured Denis Suárez.
The game was full of drama as Alcorcón first led 2:0 before Barcelona B then scored three unanswered goals to take a 3:2 lead. Alcorcón would tie the game in the 88th minute when they converted a penalty to make it 3:3. It then looked like each team would settle for a point, but Babunski had other plans by netting a game winner in stoppage time of the 90th minute to bring Barcelona B all three points.
