Antonio Stankov returned from injury

Midfielder Antonio Stankov played in his first game for Oss since suffering a broken metatarsal in October of 2011.

The 20-year-old Antonio Stankov finally returned to the football pitch during today’s game between Oss and Emmen in the Dutch second division after being out of action for several months.  Stankov made a late appearance by entering the match in the 88th minute replacing Dammyano Grootfaam.  Oss was held to a 1:1 home draw against Emmen in the first game during the second half of the season.

Meanwhile, Antonio’s twin brother Aleksandar Stankov, also a member of Oss, was not called up by the home side.  Both Stankov twins are on loan at Oss from fellow Dutch club Roda.  Aleksandar has yet to make his debut for Oss while with today’s appearance, Antonio has now made five league caps for Oss this season and has scored two goals (both coming in the first game of the campaign).
