Defender Boban Grncarov scored his third goal for Lierse in today’s 0:2 road victory over Westerlo.

Boban Grncarov played all 90 minutes for Lierse at CB and scored the opening goal of the game in the 29th minute.  Grncarov scored with a header following a corner kick as this was Boban’s third goal for Lierse this season (2 in league play and 1 in domestic cup action).  Lierse scored their second goal just before halftime to take the 0:2 lead against Westerlo and that proved to be the final score as well.

This was an important game for Lierse since it included two struggling clubs in league play.  Lierse was only four points ahead of Westerlo, already in the relegation zone by being second from bottom on the standings.  With the win, Lierse moved seven points clear and finds itself in a safer position.
